I Timothy 5:8
8 Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
I use the Bible to inform my morality, but the problem with using Scripture is how to prioritize certain duties over others. It is simply impossible to divide one’s loving attention across every political question, so what does God specifically demand from us?
According to this verse, a person’s family is the absolute highest priority in their life over any concern other than God. Every political decision one makes must obey God’s will exactly, which necessarily entails that the most strongly-worded commands are given precedent over others. Decisions that involve immigration, free trade, civil rights or whatever must be made with the goal of satisfying I Timothy 5:8. Anything else is denying the faith. This is why Ethno-Nationalism is the only Christian political doctrine, since its end goal is the protection of one’s family in the most organic and safe political arrangement possible.
